Well I am back, had a short break from blogging as I didn't want anyone to get too bored of me. Anyway, I am still on track with my goals of getting healthier and eventually buying smaller pants!

I mentioned before that I downloaded an app called Fitness Pal, well I really like it because I can track my food intake, water intake, weight, exercise, and probably even more than that. But anyway, back when I set it up, I put a goal of 1.5 pounds a week to lose; it might have even been 2...maybe I should track my memory. Because of that, I am only supposed to consume 1200 calories a day, well holy crap that is hard to do! Calories add up like bills do and fast, again, just as bills do. But I have been doing pretty good, I've been going over my so called limit each day but not by a lot, on average it's been about 205 calories over. With the exception of last night, I went over pretty good. We went out to celebrate my Parent's 49th Wedding Anniversary. I ended up having steak, baked potato, salad, and red wine (only one glass!). And I didn't have any dessert...but then I did have a small rum and pepsi at my Parent's house but that's allowed, right!?

I don't mind going over on my "calorie limit", as long as it's not like a HUGE amount over. But everything in moderation and at least now I can see what types of foods I am eating and trying to maintain a healthy balance. And I do love that I can track my water consumption; I am surprised I haven't turned into a raisin before because I hardly used to drink water...would also probably explain why I could go almost all day without taking a pee break.

But I have been eating healthier and saying no to 'more wine' and 'dessert' and 'chips'...well I made Kale Chips today but they are better for you anyway and they are so light and delicious and addictive.

Now my next thing to do is the big E.........exercise! I think I did pretty good today as I walked quite a bit but that won't cut it, I need to do something else. If you have suggestions, let me know. I cannot wait until Spring/warmer weather gets here because the thought of going for a run in -25 degree weather makes me want to take a bubble bath and pour myself a big glass of wine! So I am up for suggestions!

But on that note, I am going to wrap this up, could probably babble all night if you let me. Will blog again soon and maybe add some pictures too :) Stay warm!
